Our underwater inspection camera is specifically designed for leisure boats and yachts. The telescopic self-sufficient system has been developed over the last few years and is aimed directly at light commercial and domestic or leisure boats.
Our underwater inspection system evolved because we were supplying many systems for a variety of commercial uses but in particular the RNLI. For many years, we saw a need in the market for a relatively low-cost system that could be used as a fast investigation for leisure boaters to check for damage to hulls, propellers, shafts, outdrives and much more – without the need for costly boat craneage. Not only will the system offer you total portability, with its own rechargeable battery system, it offers excellent images in full colour.
The system can cleverly record your videos onto an SD card for use later through a larger screen if required, or perhaps to email them to a professional for further analysis. Small enough to fit in your boat so it can be used whilst cruising if required.
One of the key issues with a boat is being able to achieve the angle required to get under the beam of the boat – in particular on larger 50ft plus craft. Designed into the system is a facility we call “beam reach” which is a further short extension with full angle adjustment for being able to reach under the boat to the propellers, shafts or anodes whilst still being able to stand on the pontoon or harbour wall.
Our most basic system is 2 metres telescopic with a beam reach of 50cm. The camera is fully submersible with bright white LED lights that can be dimmed or turned off.
We have been manufacturing and designing underwater cameras for 12 years and have successfully provided them to many industries such as the RNLI, British Waterways, British forces, Fire Brigades and many more.
Normal inspection cameras will fail if they are submersed into water, it costs a lot of money to take a 30ft boat out of the water to check anodes or propellers or other areas below the waterline. Using our specially designed system allows you to check below the waterline as many times as you like for a similar cost of one haul out and back in. It also helps you to decide if it is worth the cost of a diver or going in the water yourself to free a fouled prop or shaft by checking the severity of damage or problem first.
The Hi resolution camera is mounted on a 2 metre telescopic pole with our “beam reach” angled extension allowing full coverage under the hull of the boat – a unique feature specifically for leisure boats and yachts. We are able to supply any length and combination of pole, please call or email with your requirements.
